Projects available for summer 2017 are as follows:
London Social Justice for Young Adults
Helping with Food Banks, Refugee Centres and Centres for the Homeless and the Elderly An opportunity to get involved with social justice projects in different parts of London. The dates: Early July 2017 (date yet to be finalised – likely to be one week between 3rd July-14th July 2017).
London Day Camp, working with children in London (Residential)
A Day Camp Project for children aged 7-10 years in Forest Gate, London. The dates: 23rd-29th July 2017. We will be working with volunteers, teachers and other practitioners.
London Social Justice

You will be volunteering as a Youth Leader/Adult Chaperone, supporting and supervising our A Level volunteers. The dates: 30th July – 4th August 2017.
A ‘holiday week’ project working with the elderly in Newham, based at the Grosvenor Room, Forest Gate. The dates: 6th – 11th August 2017.
Thanet Day Camp
Working with children in Thanet, a Day Camp Project for children aged 7-10 years in Thanet, East Kent. The dates: 13th August – 18th August 2017. We will be working with volunteers, teachers and other practitioners.
The London Day Camp project 2016 was a week of fun and educational activities for children from families in need in the London Borough of Newham. This project was led, as usual, by Sr Kathleen Colmer and she was ably assisted by our Youth Worker, Zaz Durrant and a team of adult and student volunteers. Early August saw the start of our London Social Justice project for A Level students. This year we had 14 student volunteers, coming from our Ursuline schools in Wimbledon, Forest Gate, Ilford and Greenwich and they spent a week volunteering in the same locations used during the Young Adults London Social Justice project. In August ten students, three adult volunteers and Sr Catherine embarked on a trip of a life time to New Orleans in America to help rebuild houses after Hurricane Katrina. The students worked alongside the SBP on an Ursuline Sponsored House. From the 15-18th August we ran the Thanet Day Camp project. This was a new location this year and we were delighted to be able to hold this project at Ursuline College, Westgate. The Headteachers of six local primary schools nominated the 26 children who participated in this project and what a happy, busy week we had!
